Are you are looking for the best mesh motorcycle jacket?

We've found what we believe to be the best mesh motorcycle jacket around in the Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 Jacket. Judy and I have found and currently ride with the Joe Rocket Phoenix 4.0 when we want a lighter weight jacket while still maintaining the protection needed.

We found that this jacket gives us the flexibility in a sport riding jacket that we are looking for. Judy, needing more room around the chest, removes the spine pad when she rides. This also make her more comfortable while sitting back against the back rest.

The elbow pads, spine pad, shoulder pads and tailbone padding are made of a softer and more giving material than others we've seen and don't make you feel too stiff. Although with the nature of this jacket, you do tend to feel a bit "mechanical" while wearing it.

The jackets come with an inside rain jacket that zips into the inner side of the jacket. Those same provisions for attaching the rain jacket allow for the Sahara Vest to be inserted to keep you even cooler when the jacket alone can't.

The jacket does tend to be a bit tight in the sleeves and this can make it feel a bit confining. Adding the rain jacket under the mesh jacket is also a bit stifling if the temp and humidity are up.

This is why we think, over all, Judy and I both enjoy the leather for riding, but when leather is not something you want to haul around, this jacket, as well as most other Joe Rocket products, are a great alternative.
