Installing motorcycle lights can be easy and enjoyable to do.

Motorcycle lights make your bike dance at night but if you want that really polished look, have them professionally done. I struggled for a while trying to get mine just right and finally got fed up and took them to a friend.

Ever been to a bike show and see a bike all lit up with colored lights highlighting a custom paint job and wonder how it was all done? Well depending on your talent and skills, it may be something you can do.

Today's lights are small, low powered led lights that shine with the brightness of neon lights. What does that mean for you? Well with a little imagination you can light up your bike to look like that beauty in the bike show.

To start, look at the colors of your bike versus the colors of the lights available. If need be pick up a few different colors and hold the leads against a 9v battery and see how they look against your bike.

Judy and I spent one rainy evening trying all sorts of colors against all areas of our bike. We knew what we wanted it's just that we didn't know how to go about starting. We ended up taking our bike to a local home based business and after a few hours became good friends with the owner.

Just as you are most likely comfortable with a mechanic and always go back to them, the same will apply to your lights. We go to Cycle Goodies, a husband a wife team in South East Pennsylvania and are very happy with their work.

Any time we have lighting questions we make sure to talk with them. Since they installed our lights I've been able to add more on my own. They gave us a good base to work from and now our bike looks like a gem when lit up.

We would highly recommend getting with Gary and Barb at Cycle Goodies if lighting is what you're looking for. Check out their site at www.cycle-goodies.com. Below is what they did for our bike. Just click on the picture and see a small sample of what can be done to yours.
