Modern abrasion resistant materials are making textile motorcycle clothing more affordable.

Some being of mesh material, the textile motorcycle clothing are a lighter weight, and durable. Have you looked at textile clothing? The first time Mike and I saw them, we did not like them. They were thin; some have an open weave to them. But you know after you wear the leather jackets in 80+ degree weather for a long time, you start looking for something cooler.

There is textile motorcycle clothing for winter and summer. The jackets have a detachable inner liner, and both have features of the protective armor. Summer jackets tend to be shorted in length than the winter version. Both jackets are great to have.

Of course the old stand by leather motorcycle clothing is great, even today leather is now featuring the same protection as the Textiles. But leather can still be very hot when the weather is warm. There is so much information out there about all different styles and where to shop for the type of motorcycle gear to get. We can talk about that later. Riding pants is another accessory to look into. Another newbie on the block is the textile mesh motorcycle pants; they are not as heavy as the leather chaps and leather pants. Wearing both styles of pants you usually wear them over ordinary clothing. Another advantage is the armor that is in the knees, and a removable insulated liner which is waterproof. Being a light weight make it being easier to be comfortable.

The textile industry has had made a great improvement to motorcycle gear. Some gloves have Kevlar, and some made out of Cordura nylon or Gore-tex. And that make us motorcyclist happy, so we can have choices on protection, and carrying about what style and design we want.

Choosing what gloves to wear is next. Motorcycle mesh gloves are great to have. Mike and I love ours. They are made like the textile jackets and pants, on the back of the hands there is armor for protection too some include carbon fiber knuckle protection or Kevlar. Don't forget that some have gel padding too. One advantage is that the mesh gloves are very light and your hands do not sweat when holding onto the hand grips. Most motorcycle gloves that are being worn today are leather.

When it's cold out you need to think about cold weather motorcycle gear
